Introduction

Uplift is more than a mood

Uplift is more than a mood. It is the first stroke of midnight on a new year, a way out of a house of mirrors, a coin that turns out to be a lesson, and a slow walk toward a brighter place with your water shared and your voice gentle. In every one of them, hope is something you do.

Poet of Uplift gathers twenty-two poems that lean toward the light. Some begin with a resolution, some with a fright, and one with a friendship that had to end. Each one is a journey: some end in a fresh start, and some end in a quiet goodbye that leaves the door open for peace.

Through these pages, take one step at a time. Read one at sunrise, and let the rest keep you company on the way. Enjoy!
